Hi Everyone! Can you believe it's fall already?! That means it's also National Alpaca Farm Days time! Saturday and Sunday, September 25 and 26, from 10am - 4pm (both days), we are opening our barn doors to the public to come and learn more about the wonderful animals we have on our farm! We are very excited as this is our 4th year participating in this national event! In our first year we had over 50 people stop by - last year we had almost 200! This is an exciting event for us because we love to teach and show people our animals and what they can do for them! This year, our friend Ruth will be knitting socks, and Mary will be working on her loom and telling you more about working with alpaca yarn. Lori and Casey will help answer questions and show you around the farm. Come out and learn how soft alpaca fiber is and all about it's wonderful qualities!
Special guests include: Willow - Vanessa's daughter who was just born on September 2! Willow and Vanessa now belong to the Wier's but are hanging out at our place until their new barn is built! HOPEFULLY, Sweet Pea will deliver before then and you will get to see two newborn alpacas!
As always, this is a "drop in", "no charge" event - you can stay for 5 minutes or several hours depending on what you would like to know! We truly enjoy talking to people and hope that you will stop by and say "hi" to the Golden Glen Gang! Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have.
If you are not available to stop in that weekend, just know that everyone is always welcome to stop by the farm! We just ask that you call ahead to make sure we are home. The only visitors not welcome at the farm are your pets. Please do not bring your dogs or cats when you come to visit. Thank you. For any questions, you can reach us at 717-587-2397.
